I hate it when people give up their dreams of "changing the world" because they think that they're too old or they believe that if they can do something significant it will have to be through their children. That's never true. There's always time to change the world. It's never too late to do anything.
I like the idea that we can change/engage with/influence the world, rather than try and save the world, or fix the world, or something else that seems very patronizing. Sometimes I give myself a nice dinner and take a bath because, as I tell myself, I am helping the world. I am part of the world, and I honor the pieces in my life, even my own self.

Reminds me of the quote from the movie Amazing Grace: "When you make the world better in one way, it becomes better in every way." I agree with you, Han. :)
